At the Honeybee Discovery Center, we inspire curiosity and action through awareness about the essential role of honeybees in our food system. These tiny creatures are responsible for one out of every three bites we eat, yet they are facing unprecedented challenges:

• Nearly 80% of the queen bees in North America are grafted right here in our home region—the “Golden Triangle” of Northern California. Agriculture is a vital industry, and the bees it relies on, are under increasing threat.

• Honeybee populations are declining at rates exceeding 60% annually, endangering not just agriculture but the broader ecological balance we all depend on.
